Marco Molteni was born in Milan and graduated in History at the University of Milan in 2012. After a gap year, he started an MPhil in Economic and Social History at the University of Oxford. In 2014/15 he suspended his student status in order to take a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics at the University of Warwick. In 2015/16 he returned to Oxford where he completed his MPhil writing his thesis on "Poor Management and Banking Failures in Italy During the Great Depression". He is currently reading for a DPhil in Economic and Social History at the University of Oxford: “Bank failures: Which failure? Banking distress and ‘resolution strategies’ in Fascist Italy”.
