Bard Smedsvik

Biography

Bård Smedsvik is a PhD candidate at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim. He holds a BS in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, and a MS in Political Science from NTNU.
His PhD project is within the field of welfare politics, focusing on explaining differences in welfare reception between groups and individuals. The project mainly utilises Norwegian administrative registers.
Hilary term of 2022, Bård is a Recognised Student at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention and INET.
