Biography
Juanxi is currently a senior Lecturer in Economics at the Oxford Brookes University. Her work focus on understanding the instability of financial market by applying complexity theory. She studies the systematic structure of financial systems and is particularly interested in the tipping point of the markets. The approaches include time series analysis on various financial data and agent-based modelling on human behaviours.
Juanxi holds a PhD in Economics jointly awarded by University of Amsterdam and Bielefeld University. She was also awarded a European joint doctorates fellowship under EU FP7 framework. Prior her PhD, she obtained degrees in Economics (MSc), Engineering (BEng) and Accounting (BSc). She has also hold various of roles as a lecturer at the Cranfield University and Glasgow Caledonian University, a research associate at the Heriot-Watt University, and a KTP associate at the University of Strathclyde.
