Abstract:

Tony Atkinson's Inequality: What Can Be Done? is a remarkable book and major contribution from the scholar who has done most to develop and drive forward the economic analysis of inequality over the last 50 years. Here we take the opportunity to delineate some of the distinctive features of this book, highlighting what may be of particular salience and interest to a sociological audience in particular but also more generally from a theoretical and policy perspective
