Biography
Harry Lightfoot-Brown is an Economic Advisor at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ). He is currently the Carbon Budget 7 Evidence Programme Manager and the lead DESNZ contact for the Agile-funded MacroCB7 project.
Harry has over 5 years’ experience working across government on Net Zero strategy and previously worked at the Climate Change Committee. Harry received a scholarship to undertake an MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford in 2023. Over the course of his studies, Harry also worked as a Research Assistant for Prof Sam Fankhauser and Dr Anupama Sen, focusing on the investment requirements of net zero trajectories.
Harry is also a former professional rugby player.
