Biography
Jad Moawad has been working on his postdoctoral research at the University of Oxford since October 2023. His project focuses on wealth and savings patterns across different European countries. As part of this project, he is leading a randomized survey experiment aimed at understanding the investment behaviour of individuals with different socio-economic status. He is also examining the impact of financial education interventions on improving investment decisions and overall financial behavior. Jad Moawad holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Lausanne. His doctoral research examined the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, in particular its impact on societal issues such as income and health inequalities. He has extensive experience working with large-scale datasets, including the European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) and the Luxembourg Income Study (LIS).
