Biography

Alexandros Mitsis is a DPhil student at the School of Geography and the Environment and a member of the Complexity Economics group at the Institute for New Economic Thinking, University of Oxford. He is supervised by Dr François Lafond and Prof J. Doyne Farmer. 

His research focuses on technological change and the transition to low-carbon systems, with a particular interest in understanding and forecasting the evolution, cost and diffusion of emerging technologies. His work draws on complexity economics, empirical modelling and data-driven methods, with applications including mobility and energy technologies. 

Before joining Oxford, Alexandros completed an MSc in Finance, Investments and Risk Analysis at the Athens University of Economics and Business, and an MBA and BA in Business Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
