Biography

Anna is a student of the Industrially Focused Mathematical Modelling Centre for Doctoral Training (InFoMM CDT) at the University of Oxford's Mathematical Institute and is supervised by Prof Doyne Farmer. Before starting her DPhil, Anna studied at the University of Bristol, earning an integrated Master's Degree in Mathematics. She developed an interest in networks, statistics and data science at Bristol and is applying these to her research of the labour market impacts of the post-carbon transition for her DPhil.

Network approaches to labour markets and industrial strategies

We use network analysis and agent-based models to analyse and what policies could ease this transition for workers in this time of unprecedented change in labour markets
Sensitive Intervention Points in the Transition to the Post-Carbon Society

This new project will model the physical, economic, sociological and political aspects of this transition to an entirely new energy network from an interdisciplinary perspective, seeking to understand the sensitive points that can accelerate it.
