Dr Sam Rowan
Postdoctoral Research Officer
Sam Rowan is a postdoctoral researcher in international climate policy in the Climate Econometrics program at Nuffield College and the Institute for New Economic Thinking.
His research focuses on international climate politics, particularly the development of international cooperation under the structure of the new Paris Agreement on Climate Change. His existing research focuses on the ambition of countries’ climate policy targets, as well as, how countries use international institutions to support and to undermine global climate governance. He is currently developing research on the impact of local climate shocks on government policy, and perceptions of effort and fairness in climate policy.
Sam completed a DPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford and has a BA in Political Science from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
