Biography
Sven Ehmes is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Chair of Comparative Social Stratification at the Max Weber Institute of Sociology, Heidelberg University. His research examines the causes and consequences of social inequalities from a cross-national comparative perspective, linking individual socio-economic and socio-political inequalities and stratification processes to broader economic, institutional, and normative contexts. His PhD project investigates the gendered socio-economic consequences of unemployment across countries.
