Anton Pichler

Anton Pichler is a DPhil student in Geography and the Environment at the University of Oxford under the supervision of Professor Cameron Hepburn and Professor Doyne Farmer. His research interests encompass complex systems, networks, the economics of climate change, agent-based modelling and systemic risk in financial markets. His current research is supported by the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.

Anton holds a BA in Political Science and a BSc in Economics, both awarded by the University of Vienna. He also completed the MSc degree in Quantitative Finance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. In his Master thesis Anton derived a general minimisation procedure for systemic risk in overlapping portfolio networks where he closely collaborated with the Complexity Science Hub Vienna.
