Biography
Yan Yu is a DPhil student specializing in econometrics and energy economics, focusing on the interdisciplinary research of energy transition, environmental impact, and investment dynamics using advanced econometric modeling, dynamic panel data analysis, and computational techniques.
Yan finished her undergraduate studies at Monash University in Melbourne and was granted an HD degree in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics. After that, she fulfilled her Master's degree at the National University of Singapore in Business Analytics.
Yan has a background in empirical analysis and policy impact studies, with expertise in handling complex datasets and statistical models. Before her doctoral studies, she worked as a research associate at the Energy Studies Institute, NUS, and focused on carbon policy effects and data center energy optimization, utilizing econometric and deep learning methods.
