Biography

Lennart is an Associate at INET Oxford, researching technological and economic change in the energy transition. He is also the CEO of the Oxford-based startup Vallorii, developing products and insights to quantify risks their financial implications for infrastructure assets.

At INET, Lennart's research focusses on technological change for clean energy systems. He develops stochastic models to predict future technology adoption and cost. These models can be used to estimate future energy system costs, as well as investment strategies in the face of uncertainty. Leveraging new methods from machine learning and control theory, we can manage non-marginal changes in our electricity system more effectively.

Prior to completing his DPhil at INET in 2025, Lennart was a consultant at McKinsey in Munich. He holds a Master's degree in Physics from ETH Zurich, with focus on Quantum Information Theory.
